Sunday rides will be mainly on road on quiet lanes . The rides will alternate between a distance of about 30 miles and longer rides of 50 miles. There will be a lunch stop, probably pub lunch, wherever possible. Riding will be at the usual club pace and we hope this will offer an opportunity to go a bit further.
Please note the longer rides may sometimes be shorter than 50 miles but hillier than normal rides. Anyone doing these rides should either have done previous 30 mile rides or be experienced in longer rides.
Sunday 26th March – Jodrell Bank – Meet at the free car park next to Wilmslow Leisure Centre at 10am. This 30 mile road ride takes us across rolling Cheshire roads to lunch at Jodrell Bank. Leaders Andy Shaw and Andy Sykes
Sunday 9th April – Croft – Meet at Timperley Sports Club at 10am. This 30 mile ride takes us north over Warburton Bridge to the flat Lancashire plain to Culcheth and Croft for lunch. The return skirts Warrington before returning to Timperley. All on road and relatively flat. Leaders Jim and Andy Shaw
Sunday 23rd April – Two Towers Hillier Ride – Meet at Grane Road car park, Haslingden at 10am or drive from Morrisons Cheadle Heath at 9am. 32 mile very hilly ride passing Darwen and Holcombe Towers . Lunch at Entwistle Leaders Andy Sykes and Sarah
Sunday 7th May – Eaton – Meet at Deanwater Hotel at 10am. A ride across rolling Cheshire to Eaton near Congleton for lunch. Leaders Neil and Graham
Sunday 21st May – Southport longer ride – Another new and longer ride of about 50 miles. Further details follow. Leaders Andy P and Julia
Sunday 4th June – Fools Nook – A hillier ride across Alderley Edge towards Macclesfield and Gawsworth. More details follow. Leaders Graham and Andy Sykes
Sunday 18th June – Thelwall – Meet at Robin Hood, Stretford at 10am. A 30 mile ride across flatter Cheshire to Thelwall. Leaders Gill and Julia
Sunday 2nd July – Mersey Ferry – Meet at Morrisons , Cheadle Heath at 0830 or Otterspool car park at 0930 prompt to ride into Liverpol and cross the Ferry. Return after a pleasant ride round the Wirral. Distance about 35 miles. Leaders Jim and Julia

Lifts to rides can often be arranged and the Club has a few bikes which can be borrowed for rides by arrangement.
