Sunday rides will be mainly on road on quiet lanes . The rides will alternate between a distance of about 30 miles and longer rides of 50 miles. There will be a lunch stop, probably pub lunch, wherever possible. Riding will be at the usual club pace and we hope this will offer an opportunity to go a bit further.
Please note the longer rides may sometimes be shorter than 50 miles but hillier than normal rides. Anyone doing these rides should either have done previous 30 mile rides or be experienced in longer rides.
Sunday 24th September – Lower Withington – Meet at the car park (free on Sundays) at Bramhall Library at 10am, A new ride across the Cheshire roads to Lower Withington then on to Jodrell Bank for lunch. Distance about 33 miles. Leaders Andy Pennell and Neil.
Sunday 8th October – Over the Hills to Buxton (Hilly Ride) – Meet at High Lane Village Hall at 10am, Whilst this is a shorter “longer ride”, it will have many big hills. Heading out via Rainow and Windgather the ride goes along the Goyt Valley to the Cat and Fiddle road before descending into Buxton for lunch. Distance about 28 miles. Leaders Andy Shaw and Sarah
Sunday 22nd October – Henbury – Meet at Torkington Park, Hazel Grove at 10am, A ride across Cheshire with some hills to Henbury for lunch. Distance about 30 miles Leaders Andy Sykes and Neil
Sunday 5th November – Neston – Meet at Chester Services (M56) at 10 am or Chester Zoo Park and Ride (£3 parking charge) at 10.30am. A pleasant ride with one hill. Starting along the Cycleway and the River path we head to Burton for lunch. One hill after lunch before heading through lanes back to the start. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Jim and Andy Pennell.
Sunday 19th November – Walton Hall – Meet tba. A new ride through flatter Cheshire to Walton Hall near Warrington. Distance 30 miles . Leaders Gill and Graham.
Sunday 3rd December – Peover Heath Longer Ride – Meet at Davenport Green (next to Davenport Rail Station) at 9.30am. A longer ride of 45 miles across Cheshire to the Peovers for lunch. Leaders Andy Pennell and Andy Sykes.
Sunday 17th December – Goostrey – Meet at the car park (free on Sundays) next to Wilmslow Recreation Centre at 10am, Our traditional pre-Christmas ride to Goostrey Home and Leisure of that last minute gift. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Neil and Andy Sykes
Sunday 31st December – Tatton Park – Meet at Gatley Rail Station at 10am, Last ride of 2017. across Cheshire and through Tatton Park. Distance about 28 miles. Leaders Sarah and Neil.

Lifts to rides can often be arranged and the Club has a few bikes which can be borrowed for rides by arrangement.
