Sunday rides will be mainly on road on quiet lanes . The rides will alternate between a distance of about 30 miles and longer rides of 50 miles. There will be a lunch stop, probably pub lunch, wherever possible. Riding will be at the usual club pace and we hope this will offer an opportunity to go a bit further.
Please note the longer rides may sometimes be shorter than 50 miles but hillier than normal rides. Anyone doing these rides should either have done previous 30 mile rides or be experienced in longer rides.
Sunday 24th March – Fools Nook longer ride – Meet at Torkington Park at 10am. A longer ride of about 40 miles with a few hills in the early part before returning on more gentle roads. Leaders Graham and Lesley.
Sunday 7th April – Marton – Meet at layby outside Deanwater Hotel, Woodford. A rolling Cheshire ride across to Marton for lunch. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Neil and Andy Shaw
Sunday 21st April – Anderton Lift – Meet at car park next to Wilmslow Leisure Centre at 10am. Rolling Cheshire ride through Great Budworth to the iconic Anderton Lift, a marvel of Victorian Engineering. Lunch at Anderton before more Cheshire Lanes. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Andy and Sarah Pennell.
Sunday 5th May – TBA Hilly Ride. A very hilly ride – details to follow. Leaders Andy Sykes and Lesley.
Sunday 19th May – Grasslands Nursery – Meet at Timperley Sports Club at 10 am. A change from the usual ride to Plantation in the same area. A rolling Cheshire ride. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Gill and Graham.
Sunday 2nd June – Longer ride – tba – One of the longer ride series. Details to follow. Distance probably around 50 miles. Leaders Des and Tracey
Sunday 16th June – Monsal Trail – Meet in Bakewell (full details later) at 10am . A long drive but a chance to ride the lower end of the Trail up to Hassop. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Graham and Tracey.
Sunday 30th June – Cheshire Circuit – A repeat of last year’s ride across Cheshire towards Middlewich. Fuller details follow. Distance about 30 miles. Leaders Lesley and Andy Sykes.

Lifts to rides can often be arranged and the Club has a few bikes which can be borrowed for rides by arrangement.
