LADIES – Dust your bike down and join us for a FREE Cycle Day.

March is Women on Wheels month aiming to get more ladies on their bikes.  You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist to join in.

SCCC are joining in with two promotions during the month, both restricted to Women.

11th March – Ceracycloan – Hillgate, Stockport

This is a free day to get that bike in good condition.  Ceracycloan will check your bike out and do minor repairs as well as having special offers on the day.  Woodsons can give you advice on e–bikes. SCCC’s Ladies will then lead a short ride on local roads and parks before returning to Tandem Coffee House for a cup of tea.  You can even get your bike washed afterwards if necessary.

Details and registration are available here

25th March – Cale Green Primary School , Stockport

This is another free taster day with bike checks and cycling-based activities in the school yard.  SCCC Ladies will again lead a short local ride over quiet roads and tracks.

Details and registration are available here

Who are we ?

We are a friendly leisure cycling club based in Stockport, Cheshire providing a variety of rides at an easy pace with pleasant company. Our members range from 9 to 70 year of age. Families with children over the age of 9 are very welcome provided the children have done a little cycling.  Children under 18 years must however be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

We want people to join us in enjoying cycling, fresh air and the wonderful scenery our area has to offer. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete newcomer to cycling or not particularly fit – in fact you’ll slot right in and we’d love to welcome you.

Our rides

We offer a variety of rides – on and off-road – at a speed everyone can do, with frequent rest stops. We aim to ride at the pace of the slowest and always wait. Oh – and we fix your punctures too. Perhaps the best testament to our success is that most people who come out with us for the first time stay with us and ride on a regular basis.

Building confidence

We’ll help you build your confidence and your riding skills. And if you haven’t got a bike it’s not a problem – we have some bikes to borrow and can , where possible,  provide lifts to start points if needed.
